Growing up, I moved around a lot with my dad’s work. Occasionally, this meant having to reinvent myself when my family and I landed somewhere new. Re-making myself amid new environments in order to adapt and thrive always motivated and excited me—and I learned a helluva lot about human nature.
Fast forward several decades with stints in educational publishing, print journalism, healthcare marketing and, yes, even ultra-marathoning, and I find I’m still occasionally re-making myself according to life’s changing forces, forever peeling back the layers to get to the real me and the expertise I have to offer.
I’ll apply the same experience, skills and passion working with you (minus the ultra-marathon, of course). Together we’ll dig deep to find your true brand identity. Yeah, we’ll probably try on a lot of outfits to get there, but I guarantee at the end of the day you’ll like what you see in the mirror.
The dapper fellow below is John Daniel Wells, my great grandfather. A writer and newspaperman, John Daniel had early stints at the Erie Dispatch and The Cleveland Plain Dealer. He eventually ended up reporting for the Buffalo Courier, where he became managing editor. A humorist at heart, he was once President of the American Humorist’s Association.
Thanks, John Daniel, for the special talents you bestowed upon me—and thanks for giving me the opportunity to Suit Up and Stand Out!
